A Journey to Sanity Through Connection—

Both to Ourselves and to Others.

Hey, I'm Shannon!

I’ve always felt most alive when I’m creating. There’s something inside my soul that craves it.

For me, art isn’t just about making something beautiful. It’s about healing, finding strength, and uncovering courage.

That’s what Sense and Sanity is built on—finding our center, our sanity—no matter the circumstances.

If I can play even a small part in that process for you? That means everything to me.

Let's Create Art Together
  • "SENSE"

    - Serves as a call to look inward—to pause and truly listen to what your body and mind need. It’s a reminder to tune into yourself and take control of your path, rather than being swayed by external influences.

  • "SANITY"

    - Becomes the gift of honoring those needs. By regularly checking in with yourself and remaining connected, you create a life filled with clarity, presence, and peace.

There’s Hidden Healing in Every Piece of Art

And Every Creation Holds the Power to Transform

3 of 3

Each piece of custom art is designed to help you sense what you need, guide you to what matters most in that moment, and connect you with your inner power.

The more you look, the more you find. From a distance, the bold lines and rich colors of each portrait tell a story of strength and empowerment. But look closer, and there’s always more—subtle details that invite you to pause, reflect, and discover something new about yourself.

Art can be so much more than home decor. I see it as a nearly effortless way to care for yourself. And the best part is it doesn’t require adding any extra tasks to your already long to-do list.

Like planting seeds, art helps water your dreams and keeps your goals alive. Whether you’re stepping into a new season, reaching for a breakthrough, or holding steadfast to a vision, it can be a gentle reminder of the strength and purpose within you.

The Bible teaches us to pour into others from our overflow, yet so many women find themselves living with an empty cup. It’s not always easy to prioritize yourself, but self-care is essential. Art offers a way to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with your inner spirit, helping you find peace and replenish what’s been depleted.

Before this chapter of my life, I was a Biblical counselor and an interior designer. Counseling gave me a deep appreciation for the healing power of connection. Designing spaces taught me how important our environments are in shaping how we feel.

These experiences come together in what I do now—writing and art. I’m currently working on a book about the visions I’ve been blessed to receive from God—truly the greatest gift of my life. These visions guide me, challenge me, and constantly draw me closer to understanding what He wants to reveal.

That same sense of discovery flows into my art. Whether you're religious or not, there’s undeniably something divine about this process. My connection to God shapes everything I do and makes this work not just healing for you, but deeply healing for me too.

Getting To The Heart of It

Helping women feel good about themselves and rediscover their inner strength is at the heart of everything I do—especially my art. When I create a piece of custom art for you, I want to make sure I really understand your story. To truly capture something meaningful, I ask questions that help me get to know who you are and what you hold close.

I wouldn’t ask you to share without being willing to do the same myself.

What better time than now? I guess I'll go first...

How would a close friend or family member describe you?

Loving, passionate, determined, disciplined, courageous in pursuing my dreams, multipassionate, a good problem solver and I quote, “filled with infectious joy like confetti.”

What are three words that you feel describe your truest self?

1. Determined 2. Curious  3. Helper

Are there experiences or parts of your life that have shaped you most?

There's not one big moment that comes to mind, but it's more like many little moments with my husband, family and friends. They have a beautiful balance of accepting me and loving me for who I am, but also challenging me when I wander off the path.

I’m such a rule follower, and don't tend to take risks, however, my sister Steph and I moved to Nashville on a whim one weekend with no jobs and no plan. It was exhilarating and I would totally do it all over again!

I’ve also been a big fan of therapy for 10 years. Different seasons reveal new challenges and therapy has been an amazing outlet for me to discover the areas of me that need healing, and where I need to love on myself more. I have a couple women in my life that have discipled me to understand the true character of God, this has changed my relationship with Jesus, and has changed my life.

What are the values or qualities you feel most connected to?

1. Honesty

2. Surrendering what's out of my control and trusting God

3. Creativity

I don’t like being unclear or sugar coating things. Being trustworthy and transparent is extremely important to me. So I’m probably a little too honest. Sometimes I overshare when I probably shouldn’t. But I trust God and things always work out!

Knowing when to surrender is really big for me. Even though I was good at counseling, there was always a fear in the back of my mind that I was going to say the wrong thing. That’s when I became aware of the messages I receive from the Lord. Instead of worrying about what I was supposed to say and not say, I surrendered all that. And the whispers from God would start flowing. And finally, creativity. I get all kinds of bent out of shape if I go too long without creating something. I feel the most alive when I'm creating!

If you could choose one visual symbol that represents you, what would it be?

A cat! I'm curious like a cat and I like to problem solve. I get little bursts of energy and then like to take naps. I like to climb on things. I’m in good company. My bengal has figured out how to open cabinet doors!
